Apelles
Apelles was an early Greek painter who was incredibly talented, although unfortunately none of his paintings survived. He lived in the 4th century and worked for Philip II of Macedonia and his Alexander III the Great. It is said that Raphael painted his face into the School of Athens so he put his face on Apelles, a fellow painter.
